Director

Leading the band since its inception is retired music educator and high school principal, Nick Ezzone. Mr. Ezzone has a long history of conducting high school and community bands. He is the past director of the Fostoria Federation Band and for the past 25 years was a member of the North Coast Concert Band and its director for 18 years until his retirement in 2008. He is a graduate of the BGSU College of Musical Arts and earned two gradutate degrees, a Masters and Specialist in School Administration, also from BGSU. He continues to be an active musician as both a keyboard player and trumpet player. He and his wife, Mary, are members of the "Windjammers", a nationally prominent group devoted to the preservation of circus music. Nick has recently decided to step down as our director at the end of this season. We are forever indebted to him for his kind heart and dedication to the musicians of the BGACB.

Assistant Director (Soon to Be Head)

Mr. Thom Headley currently is Director of Bands for Bowling Green City Schools. Mr. Headley has been an outstanding leader for the community and the Bowling Green City Schools band program since first arriving in 1980. He has been chosen by the BGACB to fill the position of Director of the Band after Nick's decision to step down after this spring.

Assistant Director

Bruce Corrigan served on the initial committee that helped form the BGABC and also served as the first president of the Board. He has recently been nominated by the BGACB board to fill the position of Assistant Director that will be vacated when Thom Headley becomes Director in the 2011-2012 season. Mr. Corrigan has taught bands at BG JH/MS for a number of years.
